Summary
We currently have a part time, vacancy for an AMD (Age-macular degeneration) Coordinator, within the Ophthalmology booking team, at East Sussex Healthcare Trust. The post would be based at Bexhill Hospital. Although the need to work cross site, Eastbourne Hospital, may be required.
The department provides a fast and responsive outpatient appointment booking service. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, IT knowledge, an ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a team, working to strict guidelines. The ability to priorities their workload, pay close attention to detail and the ability to work within a specific time frame is a must. Some knowledge of the Ophthalmology specialty would be an advantage.
The post holder will be required to work within service hours of Monday to Friday, : 09:00 to 17:00 .
To work with the Eye Clinic department staff in providing a comprehensive and professional administrative service supporting all the clerical duties.
To act as the first point of contact for any queries regarding IV injections/OCT scans, from patients’ relatives, other health care professional and visitors.
To work as part of a team of self-motivated individuals in developing and co-ordinating the Intravitreal Injection appointment booking System.
