Summary

SEN Teaching Assistant

We are working with a SEN High School in Liverpool who are recruiting TA's to work full time . The Schools itself is purpose built and aims to provide students with a calm, pastoral and nurturing learning environment. The School caters for pupils who have a range of needs including Autism, SLD and PMLD.

The ideal candidates will have experience of supporting students with a personailised curriculum and wll be able to build relationships and help students overcome any obstacles and barriers to learning. You will also support emotional barriers and manage behaviour.

The roles we have are temp to perm contracts.

Roles and Responsibilities: As a Teaching Assistant at our school, you will play a crucial role in supporting our students' educational journey. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with the smooth transition of new pupils into the school community.
- Providing personalised 1:1 support to students, tailoring your approach to their unique needs.
- Facilitating engaging and interactive learning experiences for small groups of pupils.
- Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and parents to create a holistic and effective support system.

Qualifications and Requirements:
- Previous experience working with students with SEMH and those struggling with mainstream.
- A genuine passion for providing a pastoral system
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a nurturing attitude.
