Summary
Position: SEN Class Teacher
Location: Tadworth, Surrey
Salary: Paid to scale

Start Date: ⏳ Immediate
Duration: Monday - Friday (Full-Time)
The Successful Candidate Will Have:
- Experience working with students with Autism and associated needs.
- Previous experience teaching pupils with Special Education, particularly Autism with high support needs and lower academic levels.
- ️ Ability to effectively manage pupil behaviour during lessons.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with staff, parents, and students.
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent.
- An enhanced Child or Child & Adult barred list DBS certificate.
Role Overview:
- Teaching to a class of varying needs including varied types of communication (non-verbal & Physical).
- Implementing and delivering a broad, balanced, relevant, and differentiated curriculum for students, with a focus on Core Subjects.
- Working closely with students, their parents/carers, and other members of staff to ensure students' happiness and well-being.
- Adapting the syllabus according to the individual students' EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan).
- Making appropriate use of a range of monitoring and assessment strategies to evaluate pupils' progress.
