Are you an experienced leader with a passion for manufacturing and production? We are seeking a Factory Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our manufacturing facility in Uttoxeter. As the Factory Manager, you will play a key role in driving efficiency, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring the smooth functioning of our production processes.
Key Responsibilities as a Factory Manager:
• Lead and manage the daily operations of the manufacturing facility, including production planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Implement and maintain efficient manufacturing processes to optimize productivity and minimize waste.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and promote a culture of safety throughout the organization.
• Monitor production output, quality control standards, and product specifications to meet customer requirements.
• Manage and develop a team of production staff, providing coaching, training, and performance feedback as needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and quality assurance, to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Oversee maintenance activities to ensure the reliability and uptime of production equipment and machinery.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall performance.
• Prepare and manage departmental budgets, controlling costs and expenditures within approved budgets.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and set objectives for the production team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Requirements as a Factory Manager:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Management, or related field.
• Proven experience in a manufacturing leadership role, with a strong understanding of production processes and best practices.
• Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Solid understanding of health and safety regulations and practices in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is desirable.
