Summary
The aim of the job is to provide assistance required by the employer for their father who is suffering from Dementia.
Rate of Pay: £14-16.00 gross per hour (dependent on skills and experience)
Shift Pattern: You will be required to work between 15 & 25 hours per week 3-4 days Monday to Sunday.
(Typically 9.30am- 15.30 Tues, Wed, Thur & Sat/Sun by arrangement)
A reliable and trustworthy person able to take direct instruction is required to provide assistance with getting up / dressed, personal care. Help with preparation of meals and drinks and household duties would all be required.
Ability to help with companionship & social activities including assistance in getting to and helping participate in community groups / clubs is also key.
Ideally the successful applicant would have a good history and experience of providing care and support. Experience of working older people or people with dementia would be preferred.
The employers father requires care in many aspects of daily life therefore flexibility is required. You must be able to work with family members, however support will mostly be on a one-to-one basis.
As driving will be required as part of this role, the successful applicant should have a full driving license.
Applicants must have membership of Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) or be willing to join this scheme.
