Summary

The employer is 39 years old and has physical and Learning disabilities
She is very sociable and loves to be out and about, and uses a manual wheelchair.

The role of the PA will be to enable her to access the activities she enjoys in and around Central Scotland.

Rate of Pay: £12.50 gross per hour

Shift Pattern: You will be required to work a minimum of 16 hours per week. Tuesday and Friday 9.30am – 5.30pm and on a few occasions be available to cover extra days including Saturday and Sunday to cover staff holidays.
Approximately 1 hour for lunch which the PA takes with the employer and which is paid for by the employer.

A reliable and trustworthy person able to take direct instruction is required to assist with all aspects of:
Assisting to access activities in the community
Personal Care. Assistance with toileting.
Assisting with eating meals

The successful applicant should have a good history and experience of providing care and support. The employer requires care in many aspects of daily life therefore flexibility is required. You must be able to work as part of a team, however support will be mostly on a one-to-one basis.

Desirable qualities would be, friendly and approachable with a good sense of humour. Reliable, trustworthy, and punctual. It is important that the employee is aware of and sensitive to my needs.

As a Personal Assistant is required to work one-to one, it is important that the employer and employee maintain an open and honest relationship.

As driving will be required as part of this role, the successful applicant should be a car owner and have a full driving license.
(a mileage allowance of £0.20 per mile is paid from pick up to drop off)
