Summary
We are a family based in Falkirk District looking for a part time PA to support our 18 year old son. He is a happy and energetic young man who is non-verbal, with learning difficulties.
Rate of Pay: £10.90 gross per hour increasing to £12.00 in April.
Shift Pattern: We are looking for support up to 26 hours per week, which would be Monday to Friday. Additional hours for respite care may be available on a casual basis. This role can be shared with another PA.
We are looking for the right person to accompany our son to and from his college in Glasgow as well as an additional few hours support within our home.
As driving will be required as part of this role, you must have a full driving licence, however, we can provide a car for travel to and from Glasgow.
You will have:
- A working knowledge and understanding of working with people with additional support needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Empathy and compassion for individuals with additional support needs.
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Patience and flexibility in dealing with challenging situations.
You will be working with a young man who loves to have fun and will make you smile and enjoy your work.
