Summary
We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Brent Children’s Community Nursing Team as a Band 6 Children’s Community Nurse.
This post holder will work within the Children’s Community Nursing Team, visiting children in the community with a wide range of conditions and health needs.
The role will include nursing care, training and supporting families as well as deputising for senior team members and supporting student nurses.
To work as part of the Children’s Community Nursing Team, providing nursing care primarily within a child’s home, school and nursery, ensuring the delivery of evidenced based care to children and their families or carers.

• to participate in the assessment, planning and provision of skilled nursing care in negotiation with the child and family.
• to provide skilled, effective, evidenced based nursing care for children with complex care needs including technology dependent such as tracheostomy care and central venous access.
• to provide skilled, effective, evidenced based nursing care for children with a variety of nursing needs, such as enteral feeding, and intra-venous antibiotic administration.
• to work in a collaborative manner with other agencies to ensure a seamless delivery of care to families.
