Summary

The Aviation Security Compliance (ASC) Group plays a vital role in ensuring that all participants in the UK aviation industry are kept safe & secure. This is achieved through the oversight of airports, airlines, and other aviation partners to ensure their compliance with globally established aviation security obligations. The group's responsibilities include conducting security observations, inspections, audits, and tests which enables the Secretary of State for Transport to meet their legal obligations.

Accountabilities include:

- Oversee & action work requests & emails received from internal & external contacts.

- Manage industry contacts ensuring all details held on file & in company databases are current, changes are processed expediently & contact details are reviewed & updated on a periodical basis.

- Review & update company databases with contact information. Ensure that external stakeholders are able to receive correspondence from the CAA in a secure & timely fashion.

- Provide day to day administrative support to various ASC functions.

- Act as the Secretariat for the Aviation Compliance Management Group meetings and produce minutes & action log.

- Support to the Cargo Regulated Agents, Known Consignors & in- flight supplies administrative function.

- Support the Compliance Assurance Manager with the development and maintenance of the Quality Management System and Assurance Objectives.

The team is responsible for data management & assurance of compliance monitoring data & liaison with UK aviation security entities based throughout the UK.

Additional Information:

For appointments within the CAA, these roles require access to operationally sensitive infrastructure and/or Nationally Protected information. For these roles the post holders must undergo National Security Vetting and achieve the appropriate level of clearance. To be vetted we will usually expect a reasonable period of residency in the UK so that meaningful checks can be undertaken. For this role this will need to be 5 years. At the Civil Aviation Authority, you will be working towards a Business Administration Level 3 Apprenticeship over the course of 18 months.
