Job Duties:
• Plan and deliver engaging science lessons to students in KS3 and KS4
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to students, parents, and colleagues
• Implement effective classroom management strategies to create a positive learning environment
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events
• Contribute to the development of the science curriculum
Required Qualifications:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS)
• Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
Education:
• Degree in a relevant science subject
Knowledge, Experience & Skills:
• Experience teaching science at secondary level
• Experience working with young people
• Enthusiastic and positive attitude
• Enthusiastic and positive attitude towards teaching
• Passion for working with young people and helping them succeed
• Knowledge of safeguarding procedures
• Good understanding of the KS3 and KS4 science curriculum
Preferred Qualifications:
• Additional training in special education needs (SEN) or behaviour management
Working Conditions:
• Full-Time hours, Monday to Friday
• Classroom-based teaching with occasional extracurricular activities
• Collaboration with other teachers and school staff
