Summary


A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust as Deputy General Manager for the Outpatients Directorate.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced, motivated, and passionate operational manager to gain experience working in a busy and diverse directorate.

The Directorate supports all of the Care Groups across the organisation to maximise their outpatient services, performance and improve patient experience. We have a large number of administrative, nursing and technical teams working together with the aim of delivering excellent outpatient services.

Base Location: University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust (various sites)

We are looking for a kind, compassionate and motivated leader who can bring energy and focus to this exciting Deputy General Manager role in the Outpatients Directorate. The post holder will have a strong background in operational management, either in an acute or community setting.

The Deputy General Manager will work closely with the General Manager, Clinical Directors, Matron and Operational Leads to support and oversee the delivery of outpatient services across the Trust. This will include supporting Service Managers and Care Group Leads with operational service delivery, managing risk, using data to inform decision making, and leading on a range of quality improvements with a Patient First approach to improve the quality, performance and accessibility of our services.
