Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a flexible and motivated individual to join us as a Paediatric Pathway Coordinator working in our Inpatient Waiting List Team. This is a part time, 15-hour secondment to cover maternity leave.

You will support the existing Pathway Coordinators in providing a quality and efficient service to our Paediatric Surgeons and patients. You will act as the point of contact for patients and Clinical staff and ensure that all queries are answered with skill, sensitivity and in a courteous and professional manner.

A good understanding of the 18-week RTT process and knowledge of the Trust Patient Access Policy is a key element in this role. It is essential that you have a good standard of English to O level/GCSE or equivalent. You will have strong IT skills and NHS experience would be preferable. Demonstrable experience working in a patient focused administrative role would also be preferable. Knowledge of Lorenzo and ORMIS systems will be advantageous but full training would be given to the right candidate.

You will be responsible for the monitoring and selection of future waiting list patients, preparation and validation of the waiting lists in accordance with the Trust Patient Access Policy and abiding with the 18 week RTT target. You will be working closely with Surgeons, Theatres, Anaesthetists and other teams to schedule Paediatric theatre lists.

You will be inputting patient information onto the Lorenzo and ORMIS systems whilst preparing and printing daily waiting lists as appropriate. You should have a flexible approach to working and possess excellent communication and negotiation skills as this is a fast paced and demanding role. Working outside of core hours or days may be required from time to time.
