Targeted Tenancy Officer (SO2)

Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Targeted Tenancy Officer (SO2). In this role, you will be responsible for managing and administering targeted tenancy programs to support our clients in achieving housing stability.

As a Targeted Tenancy Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our clients have access to safe and affordable housing. You will work closely with a diverse range of individuals and families, engaging them in the tenancy process and providing support throughout their tenancy period. Your duties will include conducting assessments, implementing tenancy plans, and coordinating with external organizations to provide necessary resources and support.

Responsibilities
Develop and implement targeted tenancy programs in accordance with organizational guidelines
Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' housing needs to determine eligibility for targeted tenancy programs
Assist clients in completing necessary paperwork and applications for housing programs
Provide ongoing support to clients throughout their tenancy period, including addressing any issues or concerns that may arise
Collaborate with external partners and organizations to ensure clients have access to necessary resources and support services
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of targeted tenancy programs, making recommendations for improvement as needed
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions and program utilization
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a social housing or community services setting
Strong understanding of tenancy legislation and best practices in housing support
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with individuals from diverse backgrounds
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work
