Permanent

We are pleased to offer either a preceptorship/development post for a newly qualified Clinical/Counselling Psychologist, working initially at band 7 whilst developing the competencies required at 8a; or a qualified and experienced Psychologist wishing to work at 8a level. The post is based at Altham Meadows, Morecambe; the base for the Bay Eating Disorder Team, but the post holder will also be expected to work in the Kendal and Barrow localities.

The team is part of the All Age Eating Disorder Service which covers Lancashire and South Cumbria. A good grounding in CBT is expected and training can be provided for more specialist interventions.

The role will involve delivery of high quality assessments, formulation and specialist interventions to people from all age groups who have an eating disorder. Alongside other duties, the role will also involve providing psychologically informed guidance to other practitioners, provision of consultation, training, supervision and service development.
