Summary

The role is within a small Capital Accounting team based at Tribune House, Clifton Moor, York.

The role is full time (37.5 hours) Monday - Friday working within a flexi-time policy. After the probationary period, hybrid working options would be discussed which includes the option to work at home for up to 50% of the working week. This can be discussed further at the interview stage if required.

This is a developmental post starting at Band 4 with the expectation that you will achieve the confidence and competencies to move to the Band 5 Job Description and Salary after 12 months.

What does the role involve?

• Monthly recording, reporting and monitoring of capital expenditure including accruals and adjustments as required
• Managing relationships with capital project managers including regular meetings to discuss financial information
• Presenting financial information at key meetings during the month with the wider capital and estates teams

The successful candidate will have excellent computer skills and experience of Oracle Financial systems. Knowledge of associated reporting systems such as Oracle Business intelligence would be an advantage, although training would be provided.

Knowledge of Finance systems and processes will be required, along with good communication skills at different levels of the organisation.
