Job Duties:

We are looking for a passionate and experienced SEND Teacher to work in one of our fantastic schools in Richmond. The school has approached Protocol Education to assist them in their search for a teacher to join them in September. You will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing lessons for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. You must create an inclusive learning environment, adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs, and collaborate with support staff and parents to ensure student progress. You will also manage behaviour effectively and maintain accurate records of student performance.

Required Qualifications:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in teaching students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities

Knowledge and Skills:

Strong understanding of SEND teaching strategies, excellent behaviour management skills, ability to differentiate instruction, good communication skills, and proficiency in using assistive technology

Preferred Qualifications:

Additional certifications in Special Education or related field

Working Conditions:

Small classroom setting within a school environment. You may need to attend meetings, parent conferences, and training sessions outside of regular school hours.
