Renfrewshire Council is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and skilled leader who can demonstrate the necessary skills and experience to deliver a quality early learning and childcare provision and ensure that the children attending are offered the best start in life and are ready to succeed.

You will be responsible for the overall management of the pre-five centre. Extensive experience of working in a pre-five establishment, previous management experience including quality assurance and budget monitoring. Working knowledge of Curriculum for Excellence, Pre-birth to 3 and National Quality Assurance Tool Kits is required.

Applicants applying for the posts should be able to self-evaluate, plan and implement progress to develop the service and be able to demonstrate the necessary skills required for leading a pre-five centre within the current national and local context.

You must hold relevant professional qualification in childcare, education and or/social work or equivalent qualification, BA in childhood practice or equivalent as defined by SSSC and be registered with the SSSC.

Experience and knowledge of current pre-five issues, legislation, policy, and experience of working with children with additional support needs is desirable.
