Summary
This is a 12-15 month apprenticeship with the view of the successful candidate being offered full time employment. The successful candidate will work towards the Level 2 Supply Chain Warehouse Operator apprenticeship standard.
- Safely unload and load goods onto and from various vehicles, ensuring proper handling and securing of items to prevent damage during transportation.
- Coordinate the efficient picking of goods to be dispatched for delivery, liaising with team members to prioritise orders and meet deadlines.
- Engage in meticulous order picking activities, accurately selecting items from designated storage areas based on specific order requirements.
- Maintain precise stock control by regularly updating inventory records, conducting stock counts, and monitoring stock levels to facilitate efficient warehouse operations.
- Ensure timely restocking of pick faces, replenishing inventory in designated picking locations to ensure availability for order fulfilment.
- Demonstrate proficiency in our warehouse management systems and processes, effectively navigating software interfaces and adhering to established workflows.
- Adhere strictly to all safety procedures and regulations, promoting a culture of safety awareness and risk prevention among team members.
- Perform thorough quality checks on selected items, verifying accuracy and adherence to quality standards before release for delivery.
- Assist in the upkeep of fleet vehicles, performing routine maintenance tasks and ensuring cleanliness and functionality for safe operation.
- Contribute to warehouse cleanliness and organisation through regular housekeeping activities, including sweeping, mopping, and organising storage areas to maintain a tidy and efficient workspace.
