Summary
The post holders will become an integral part of the Burns MDT Team. You will join a well-established and active team of burn surgeons who work across both hospital sites to provide care in both the Paediatric and Adult Burn Centres in Birmingham, as part of the Midlands Burn Operational Delivery Network. The Job Plan will comprise of 10 programmed activities. This include burns on-call (1:6). The job plan will be subject to the needs of the service and experience of the successful candidate. The final time table will be constructed following discussion with the successful candidate and will result in an agreed job plan. The job plan will be mainly in burns, but there will some opportunity to general plastic surgery and laser therapy. The appointee will participate in the 1:6 burns on call rota covering the adult burns centre at Queen Elizabeth Hospital and the paediatric burns centre at Birmingham Children Hospital Birmingham Children's Hospital.
