Summary

Buyer (Food Packaging), Greenford, London. We're seeking a dynamic Buyer to support best-in-class procurement activities, focusing on the packaging category, sourcing new products, and driving sustainable & innovative packaging sourcing as part of our ESG agenda.

You won’t be a great fit if you…

Find it difficult measuring and analysing category data to provide valuable insights and recommendations.

Struggle with managing several projects at once and remaining calm in a busy and demanding department.

Know engaging with a diverse range of individuals drains your energy. Fostering strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders is a key part of this role.

About the Role:

Key Responsibilities:

• To develop and implement sourcing and category strategies aligned to the goals of the business
• Have a focus on packaging sustainability and new packaging opportunities in the market that best meet business needs
• To drive continuous improvement in supplier performance to ensure contracts meet and exceed business objectives of cost, quality, and service.
• Be the escalation point for other areas of the business who require support in respect of supplier interface issues.
• Provide regular market analysis, insights, benchmark data to support category planning and risk management.
• Support delivery of all supplier claims, and key ESG initiatives

Terms

• 40 hrs/wk. i.e. Between 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Mon-Fri (start and finish times flexible) with a 3 day/week office; 2 day/week WFH hybrid working model.
• Probationary period 3 months
• Annual salary review (our ‘movers and shakers’ are always rewarded)
• 15% KPI related bonus based around challenging but achievable tasks related to the role.
