The Headteacher and Governing Body of Congerstone Primary School are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, hardworking, enthusiastic, creative and flexible Teaching Assistant to join our Year 1 team.
The Teaching Assistant role is to provide 1:1 SEN support in our Year 1 class. You will work under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCo to assist with teaching and learning.
The Midday Supervisor role will be focused around the supervision of the child within the playground environment. Ensuring free play and games are suitable and helping develop social relationships with peers.
The successful candidate will:
• Be able to support the pupil inside and outside the classroom
• Be patient, caring and show commitment.
• Be able to develop a good understanding of children’s individual needs and to support their progress in all areas.
• Have excellent communication abilities.
• Have the ability to work using their own initiative.
• Be hardworking with good organisational skills.
• Have good numeracy and literacy skills.
• Be flexible and positive with a good sense of humour.
• Have the highest expectations for all our children and their futures.
• Be willing to undertake any necessary training for the role.
Previous experience of working in a school environment or recent relevant child-based role is essential.
