The sport and leisure team at Chesterfield Borough Council are looking to recruit 2 full time and 3 part time members of staff.

We require motivated, reliable and enthusiastic individuals to work as part of our team carrying out general leisure attendant duties, ensuring customer safety at all times, lifeguarding, communicating effectively with members of the public and other staff, undertaking cleaning duties and setting up and dismantling of sports equipment in a safe environment. Experience of working with the public and customer care is desirable and ideally you will have experience of working in swimming pools.

We need sport and leisure attendants who will be focused on delivering excellent customer service standards, provide safe and effective pool supervision, be part of a motivated team fully embracing the council’s values and ensure high levels of cleanliness and housekeeping are maintained within the centre. The successful candidates will support the varied programme of activities and sessions and efficiently communicate with other team members.

These posts will include shift work including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays. The posts available are: x1 post at 14 hours and 30 minutes per week at The Healthy Living Centre, x1 post at 13 hours per week at Queens Park Sports Centre, and x1 post at 11 hours per week at Queens Park Sports Centre. We also have 2 full time posts at 37 hours per week available.

A current RLSS Lifeguarding qualification is essential for this post and you will be required to attend regular staff training sessions as part of the requirement of this post.

The successful candidates will be subject to a Disclosure carried out by the CRB.
