Your new role:

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Permanent Food Porter to join our Birmingham & Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust. This role is based on-site at Highcroft Site, Fentham Road, Erdington, Birmingham, B23 6AL.



A full driving licence is essential for this role.



The salary is £10.90 per hour.



Amey provides total facilities and estate management services covering 21 sites to Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust. Delivering planned and reactive maintenance, essential services like cleaning, catering, we help keep the sites we maintain, safe, clean and complaint.



We work in partnership with our clients and clinical staff to ensure the 24/7 service we provide is delivered to the highest standard with minimum impact or disruption to day-to-day operational requirements of the Trust and patient care.



The standard hours of work are 30 hours per week

You will be responsible for:

Taking food deliveries to designated freezer stores
Checking deliveries against orders
Picking and packing ward menu orders
Delivering the food to the designated wards
Stock rotation
Picking and packing laundry on designated days
Any other ad-hoc porter duties, clinical waste collections, furniture moves
We want to hear from you if you have:

A full driving licence (essential)
Previous porter experience
Previous warehouse/stores experience
Good time management
Ability to work on own or equally in a team
Good communication skills
Willingness to learn new skills
Flexible
Self-motivated
Resilient and reliable
Flexible attitude to a changing environment to achieve business goals
