LUHFT is looking for a highly experienced Digital Programme Director to manage the Digital transformation programmes to achieve the best systems and solutions for our patients, clinicians and operational teams.

This is a particularly exciting and challenging time as we embark on a Trust wide procurement of a new EPR. Working closely with colleagues in the Trust and across Cheshire and Merseyside, national teams and industry experts.

The post holder will be experienced delivering a portfolio of programmes end to end from procurement to optimisation. Have excellent communication and presentation skills to be able to converse with staff at all levels including the national teams, Executive team and Site leadership.

The post holder will be an experience strategist able to interpret the needs of the services into appropriate approaches, plans and supporting documentation.

The post holder will be responsible for leading the Trusts Digital Programme Function; comprising of the Electronic Patient Record (EPR) programme and the wider Digital Transformation programme delivering strategic digital transformation projects within IT (Technical), Clinical and the Trust Improvement Portfolio digital schemes.

The post holder will lead the team in delivering an EPR that is fit for purpose across LUHFT’s clinical and operation services, together with multiple digital programmes in the portfolio. The EPR is a large-scale programme of work over the next five years, working closely with our system partners to deliver the best patient care and clinical experience.

The post holder will be required to direct and lead the areas of responsibility and support the Chief Digital Information Officer as required

The post holder will be responsible for the strategic direction and provision of defined services. The post holder will also play a leading role in the strategic development of services across the organisation through developments such as the EPR programme, new systems to deliver the Trust quality and improvement programmes and the cost improvement programme.

Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust was created on 1 October 2019 following the merger of two adult acute Trusts, Aintree University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals NHS Trust.

The merger provides an opportunity to reconfigure services in a way that provides the best healthcare services to the city and improves the quality of care and health outcomes that patients experience.

The Trust runs Aintree University Hospital, Broadgreen Hospital, Liverpool University Dental Hospital and the Royal Liverpool University Hospital.

It serves a core population of around 630,000 people across Merseyside as well as providing a range of highly specialist services to a catchment area of more than two million people in the North West region and beyond.

The post holder will be responsible for the management of the

The Liverpool Care Record (EPR) Programme team and workstreams

Programme Management Office delivering the portfolio of digital solutions.

The Digital Faculty that includes IT training and digital development.

Ensure appropriate plans and reporting is in place for all projects and programmes and that proper governance is followed at all times.

Prepare and present progress reports to senior groups internally and externally.

Ensure business cases are detailed and fit for purpose and are managed through appropriate internal governance processes and external processes including responding to key lines of enquiry and approval with the ICB, Regional and national governance.

Ensure that robust tender documentation is in place for all relevant programmes

Be responsible for programme budget and adhere to standards of budget management, maintaining integrity and transparency of transactions
