The Organised Immigration Crime (OIC) Joint Fusion Cell commenced in June 2023. With an initial focus on the small boats threat but with a vision to evolve to deliver a disruption response to the threat from all Organised Immigration Crime threats.

The JFC will be hosted by the National Crime Agency (NCA) but not led by; it is a multi-agency cell with the core partners of NCA, Home Office Intelligence (HOI) with a future ambition to include Policing.

It will deliver:

1. Integration of Intelligence and data from multiple sources for more coherent decision making for action over the whole of route.

2. A single picture of the threat to drive resourcing, agility, and innovation to lever volume and value approaches.

3. Directly support OIC campaign delivery including / specific customer requirements.

4. To shift the balance between conventional tactics & non-conventional disruptions.

5. To drive operational effect at pace The aim of the JFC is to fuse, understand and enrich whole system data to support the response to the small boat threat and wider OIC campaign.

The Intelligence Officer (IO) role in the JFC involves working closely with the core partners to triage, deconflict, enrich and disseminate intelligence through existing tasking structures.

You will be responsible for:

• Co-ordinating referrals received via the central inbox and ensuring they are routed internally within the JFC as appropriate.

• Researching and evaluating referrals received into the cell, adhering to all legal frameworks, key working principles, policies, and guidance relevant to the role to ensure information and intelligence is handled and processed legally.

• Working with partners to deconflict intelligence across partner systems, within agreed timescales, adding value to the intelligence held by Home Office Intelligence.

• Undertaking research that enhances intelligence leads and inform decision making on tactical options.

• Summarising findings and support outward tasking processes for onward intelligence development and operational tasking.

Applicants should be Intelligence Professionalisation Programme (IPP) accredited, or if not already attained, willing to work towards accreditation.

Please note

Due to the nature of this role it is only available with full-time hours.

For London based roles, the role will currently be based in Spring Gardens – Vauxhall. However, the office location for this role will later be moved to Stratford in early 2025. The move from this temporary place of work will not give rise to any entitlement to payments for travel time or costs under the travel policy.
