Site Technician (Fixed Term Contract)

Englobe UK has a great opportunity for a Site Technician to work with our team based in Central Dundee.

The Role:

You will assist and work with all members of the team on site, ensuring the effective gathering of various environmental data to ensure the effective and efficient running of the site and to safely deliver high-quality, compliant projects.

What you will be doing:

Contribute to a professional and safe site set-up paying particular attention to safety and tidiness.

Understand the basic technical requirements of the tasks undertaken.

Assist the team to complete installations safely and to a high standard.

Complete project tasks related to ground and groundwater remediation eg sampling soil, water, gas/borehole monitoring/supervision of earthworks/excavation monitoring.

Regularly provide the Site Manager and Project Manager with results from monitoring.

Ensure site documentation such as delivery documents, equipment testing, laboratory sample results and waste documentation is filed correctly.

Communicate regularly with the Site Manager and Project Manager should issues arise that require additional work or repair.

Use and maintain equipment and materials correctly according to relevant legislation (PUWER) and organisational requirements.

What you will need:

Ideally, you will have previous experience in Environmental, Groundworks or Waste sector.

A good standard level of education including GCSE Maths and English.

A degree/HND in Engineering, Geology or other scientific discipline is ideal but not essential as full training will be provided.

Able to apply a methodical approach to site documentation/correspondence and filing.

Ability to use Microsoft Office, in particular Excel.

Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to liaise confidently with colleagues, suppliers and contractors.

Enjoys working as part of a team, has a flexible approach and comfortable working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.

A willingness to learn and develop within the role.

Health & Safety qualifications desirable, but not essential such as COSHH and Asbestos Awareness.

Ideally, you will have a full UK driving license.

Additional Information:

Job Role and Duration:
This position is being advertised as a fixed term contract and the project is planned to run until the end of December 2024.

Hours of Work:
40 hours standard shift, Monday to Friday - however, this role requires flexibility and there may be instances where you will need to work additional hours as required.
