Summary


We are hoping to recruit a member of staff to join our Facilities Team at Westhaven Hospital.

This multiskilled role is working in a friendly hospital environment, mainly in a Ward based environment, supporting patients to complete menus, collate meal numbers, serve hot and cold drinks and meals to patients.

Duties also include helping with deliveries, putting stock away, checking stock in the fridges and freezers and cleaning the kitchen at the end of the shift.

In addition to the catering duties, there is also a requirement to help with cleaning duties in the main hospital, such as emptying bins, cleaning toilets and refilling paper towel or toilet dispensers.

This post is 30 hours per week the proposed rota is as follows;

Week 1: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday - 7am - 3.30pm

Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday - 7am - 3.30pm

Additional hours are usually available to cover annual leave and sickness absence.

Working at weekend attracts additional enhanced levels of pay and you will receive a generous annual leave allowance

Catering– all onsite training will be provided, experience preferred but not essential. Supporting our catering service within the hospital Ward, the role will be a planned pattern of shifts over a two week period, working alternate weekends

Cleaning –duties across the site, working to NHS cleaning standards, as the cleaning rota requires. – weekly duties supporting the delivery of items throughout the site,

For all duties, full training, support and uniform will be provided, shadowing current experienced staff to enable the successful candidate to become confident in their role
