Summary


An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team as a therapy support worker at Linden Lodge In-Patient Rehabilitation Unit, City Hospital Campus, part of Nottingham University Hospitals (NUH) NHS Trust. Linden Lodge Neuro-Rehabilitation Unit is a 25-bedded in-patient unit providing multi-disciplinary acute rehabilitation to patients mostly from neurosurgery, neurology, spinal wards and the East Midlands major trauma centre. In June 2025,the Linden Lodge team will relocate to the National Rehabilitation Centre.

An enthusiasm to work within this specialist field is essential, along with excellent time management skills, self-motivation and flexibility to meet the changing demands of the service. As well as hands on rehabilitation, the support worker assists the team with administrative tasks. Being computer literate with a willingness to learn the use of a range of hospital ICT systems would also be important in this role.

We are looking for someone who has previous experience of working in a rehabilitation or care setting, who is enthusiastic, compassionate and committed to delivering outstanding patient care.

The successful candidate will have a passion for delivering patient centred care and a desire to support patients in maximising their independence in preparation for hospital discharge.

The therapy support worker will implement rehabilitation plans designed for each patient according to their needs. You will work alongside the multi-disciplinary team in the delivery of rehabilitation for patients, as well as delegated admin duties.

The successful applicant will receive a comprehensive induction and regular supervision within supportive and caring teams, as well as being supported to learn and continuously develop through in-service training. You will actively participate in service improvement, training, supervision and yearly appraisal to continually develop your skills.





Therapies and Rehabilitation Services is one of the pathways within the Clinical Support Division at NUH. We are a diverse pathway of AHPs and support staff, employing over 600 staff who work together to deliver the high-quality care we aspire to.
Our HCPC registered AHP professionals comprise of physiotherapists, dietitians, occupational therapists, orthotists, prosthetists and speech and language therapists, and our other staff encompass professionals such as nurses, psychologists, administrative and clerical and support workers.
We have a Chief AHP to lead us on our strategic direction, and many of the pathway leadership team have pathway AHP backgrounds to support our staff. There are also Practice Development Therapists to support career development for all.
