Summary


The post holder will primarily be providing in-patient Geriatric Medicine expertise to the Horton Hospital, Banbury. This is an exciting time to be innovative and engage with training and education at this site. The Oxford University Hospitals NHS FT comprises of four hospital sites (Horton General Hospital Banbury, John Radcliffe, Churchill and Nuffield Orthopaedic Hospitals Oxford, as well as Abingdon and Witney Community Hospitals). Successful applicants will be expected to work across all areas.

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is looking to appoint one substantive consultants in Geriatric and General Internal Medicines.

We are looking for one colleague to work with existing consultants to strengthen Geriatric Medicine expertise at the Horton General Hospital. They will help provide frailty expertise to the Acute General Medical service at the Horton Hospital as well as supporting our other areas of working. The post will rotate to the John Radcliffe Hospital (four in-patient Geriatric Complex Medicine Units, the community hospitals within Oxfordshire and in perioperative medicine - orthogeriatrics, major trauma, vascular and general surgery).

Geratology in Oxford offers acute and community services, innovative outpatient, and ambulatory care for older people.
