More detail about the role The Exeter Shoulder & Elbow Team manage all shoulder and elbow problems including sports injuries, early and advanced osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, revision surgery and complex upper limb trauma. They act as a tertiary referral unit for complex shoulder instability, complex shoulder and elbow arthropathy surgery. The Exeter Shoulder & Elbow Team has a legacy in research and is currently involved in projects at all levels from local, regional and national levels. The team includes 3 consultants, a senior fellow, a specialist registrar, 4 surgical trainees, extended scope physiotherapists and surgical care practitioners. Successful applicants will have the opportunity to work alongside all three experienced Consultants and will be given the opportunity to develop expertise in arthroscopic and open surgery and arthroplasty. The Royal Devon & Exeter NHS Foundation Trust will contact previous employers to confirm employment history to cover a period of at least 3 years. The Trust is only able accept written references; these will be requested via email. One of your referees must be your current line manager and all references must cover the previous three years work or study history. Working Pattern: Monday - Friday, however there will be an On Call commitment, which can be discussed at interview.
