Summary

Please see attached Job Description for the full role details. The post holder will deliver high quality comprehensive mental health services. The role involves managing a defined caseload with a focus on providing expert assessment and evidence-based treatment for children and young people with mild to moderate mental health difficulties and their parents/carers. The post holder will provide training, supervision and consultation to staff within a specific education provision. The post holder will contribute to the clinical leadership of the team, providing supervision and caseload management to the new Education Mental Health Practitioner IAPT trainees and continue this role once the trainees have successfully completed their training with the University of Exeter. This will be a 2 year part time University course at the University of Exeter, incorporating supervisory skills training as well as advanced anxiety, neurodiversity and learning disability training. Following successful completion of the 2 year course alongside in service clinical experience you will be awarded a Senior Practitioner PGDIP. The post holder will be responsible for the clinical supervision and caseload management of trainee mental health practitioners in the MHST. In year one this is expected to be 2-3 trainee practitioners within each locality team, this is a fast developing service and further practitioners from other locality teams will be added to the post holders portfolio. There will be a responsibility to continue to supervise and caseload manage the trainees on their successful completion of their IAPT training. The post holder will act in support with fellow Team Leaders in providing clinical Leadership and advice across the MHST Service.
