Summary
Knowledge and skill acquired during a programme leading to professional registration with either NMC or HPCP. Specialist training will be provided. Understanding of and competence in theatre practice in a multi-speciality environment. Knowledge and understanding of routine observations of physiological measurements, and the ability to recognise those outside the normal range. Knowledge and demonstrable ability to accurately document patient observations and care given. Knowledge and competence in basic life support (adult and paediatric). Demonstrable ability to support surgical procedures in the emergency situation. Ability to communicate effectively with patients in potentially distressing situations and colleagues in support of patient care. Maintain own professional registration and practice within the NMC / HPC Code of Professional Conduct.
