The Children and Young People’s Occupational Therapy (CYPOT) service covers the Inner Boroughs of Hammersmith, Fulham, Kensington, Chelsea and Westminster, and has bases across 3 main sites. CYPOT works collaboratively with children, their families and communities to promote participation in childhood occupations.

Within this role, you will be offered training and support as you build your clinical skills and ability to independently manage a caseload. Your clinical duties will include conducting assessments, planning and carrying out interventions, and evaluating outcomes. This post is suitable for a recently qualified Occupational Therapist, or an Occupational Therapist with clinical experience who wants to develop their skills working with Children and Young People.

The ideal candidate should actively engage in working practices that acknowledge and support the diversity of children & families we work with. This includes awareness, understanding and sensitivity of the protected characteristics of age, disability, gender and gender-neutral identification, marriage and civil partnership, race, religion or belief, and sexual orientation.

We are committed to professional development and evidence-based practice, offering regular in-service training and peer group / one to one supervision. Internal and external courses are supported. You should have experience of engaging in personal goal setting/ appraisal process and be willing to further develop clinical skills.
