Hours
4 hours a week, worked as 10am to 12pm on a Saturday and a Sunday.

An additional 4 hours (again worked 10am to 12pm) may also become available, in the future, on a Tuesday and a Thursday. This temporary and is also yet to be confirmed.

Holiday/sickness cover for the other Personal Assistant also required on an ad hoc basis.

About the employer
The employer is a lady living in home in Brigstock, Kettering. She is partially sighted following a stroke, has CFS and other health conditions.

Main Duties
• To assist and accompany the Employer out and about.
• You need the use of a reliable car, that has space in the boot to carry the Employer’s mobility scooter. You will also need to be able to lift the scooter parts in and out of your vehicle.
• You need to have a full driving licence and the relevant business insurance.
• Support in the home as required. On a Sunday you may be required to prepare a Sunday lunch/hot meal and tidy the kitchen afterwards.
• A calm, empathetic, kind nature is essential as is the ability to ensure the Employer feels safe at all times.
• There is no personal care in this role, however personal support is required. But is important to note that this does not involve any physical contact.
• Any other task which the employer may reasonably ask you to do which falls within the scope of the job as a Personal Assistant.
Additional employment information
The successful applicant will be friendly, able to give support, while respecting the employer’s independence but also able to take instruction.

Must be flexible and trustworthy.

The role requires close contact with an individual who is extremely vulnerable to the risk of infection and disease transmission. Preference may be given to applicants who have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19. Careful consideration will be given to applicants who can show the vaccination is not suitable for them on reasonable grounds.
