Summary


An exciting opportunity has arisen for a clinical administrator to join our hardworking team at West Strand House at Strand Road Preston
Providing much needed support to our service users is our primary focus. The role can be demanding at times as our team are the first point of contact for our service users and their support networks.
Compassion and empathy is a must as at times you will be exposed to challenging situations which require you to be supportive from the moment you pick up the phone.

You will have proven experience of minute taking in multi-disciplinary clinical team meetings, you will be required to support our teams remotely via teams so a high level of communication is needed
A flexible approach is needed as every day can be different. Experience of working in a busy office with a clinical workload is preferred with previous exposure of working with the public essential.
You will be required to take large volumes of phone calls that are varied in nature as well as completing vital clinical administrative support which includes processing referrals, clinical letters and arranging weekly teams meetings for a multi-disciplinary team.

The post holder will provide a comprehensive administration and information service and coordinate their activities with other members of the administration team to ensure an efficient and confidential service is provided.

The post holder will be aligned to a specific clinical team and is required to work flexibly in response to the needs of the service providing cover to other teams on various sites as directed by the Team Leader in liaison with Locality Admin Co-ordinator to ensure continuity of a quality service

Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of services including secondary mental health care across this area. Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health and forensic services including low and medium secure care.
