Summary


We are currently recruiting a full time or part time Health Records Clerk to join our Outpatient Reception team. The successful candidate will be based at Nevill Hall hospital but all staff members must be prepared to work at other sites within the Aneurin Bevan Health Board including County hospital and Ysbyty Ystrad Fawr hospital (YYF), as required.

Our team provides reception service to three outpatient departments and are the first point of contact for patients arriving for their appointments.

This is an opportunity to join a high performing, patient facing team who support the provision of outpatient care for a range of specialities across the hospital sites.

Welsh Language Skills need to be learned on appointment.

The ability to greet patients in Welsh is essential but training will be provided if required, so applications from both non-Welsh speaking and Welsh speaking applicants are welcome.

Working pattern will be Monday- Friday 8:30am - 4.30pm.

Duties will be:

To work as part of the reception team and contribute to the delivery of a comprehensive and effective service across the board.

To undertake a wide range of reception, telephone and clerical tasks, including the greeting of patients, admissions/discharging Day Case procedures and the preparation/collection of patient notes.

Completion of patient outcomes and rebooking of follow up patients appointments where appropriate.

The successful candidates will have good keyboard skills excellent reception and communication skills and experience of working in a busy environment.

Previous reception and customer service experience is desirable.

The post holder will need to be flexible to meet the needs of the service,
