Summary

Position Overview:

We recognize that life’s challenges sometimes necessitate taking a career break. That is why we are seeking experienced and empathetic individuals to join our team as Back-to-Work Professional Carers. Passion Tree Care services will provide specialized support and guidance to professional caregivers who are re-entering the workforce after a career break. We will provide the support needed to facilitate a smooth transition back into their professional roles by offering personalized care, mentorship, and assistance tailored to your needs.

In this role, you will provide essential support and assistance to individuals who require care and assistance with daily activities due to illness, disability, or aging. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the wellbeing and comfort of those under your care while promoting independence and dignity.

Your key responsibilities will include:

•Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting according to individual needs and preferences.

•Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals and assist with other healthcare-related tasks under supervision.

•Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks, considering dietary restrictions and preferences.

•Perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry, and tidying to maintain a clean and safe environment for individuals receiving care.

•Engage individuals in meaningful activities and social interactions to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being.

•Provide companionship and emotional support, lending a listening ear and offering encouragement as needed.

•Monitor and report changes in individuals' health or behaviour to appropriate healthcare professionals or family members.

•Document care provided and observations made in a timely and accurate manner, maintaining confidentiality and privacy at all times.


Qualifications:

•Previous experience in caregiving, either in a professional or personal capacity, is advantageous.

•High school diploma or equivalent required; certification in caregiving or a related field preferred.

•Compassionate and empathetic demeanor, with a genuine desire to help and support others.

•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with individuals of all ages and backgrounds.

•Patience, flexibility, and adaptability to meet the evolving needs and preferences of those under your care.

•Basic understanding of healthcare procedures, safety protocols, and infection control practices.

•Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and professionalism in all interactions.

Working Conditions:

This position may involve working irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate the needs of individuals receiving care.

Physical stamina and strength may be required to assist with lifting, transferring, and supporting individuals with mobility challenges.
