Summary

Temporary Accommodation Team Leader

Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Temporary Accommodation Team Leader to join our team. As the Temporary Accommodation Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in managing a team responsible for providing temporary accommodation services to individuals and families in need.

Your main responsibilities will include overseeing the day-to-day operations of the team, ensuring the efficient allocation of resources, and maintaining high-quality standards in service delivery. You will also be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with external stakeholders, such as housing providers and local authorities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accommodation services and a proven track record in managing teams. You should possess excellent leadership skills, be able to work well under pressure, and have the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.

Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of the temporary accommodation team, including staffing, training, and performance management
Ensure the effective and efficient allocation of accommodation resources to meet the needs of individuals and families
Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve service delivery and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
Manage relationships with housing providers and local authorities to ensure the availability of high-quality temporary accommodation options
Provide regular reports to senior management on the performance of the team and identify areas for improvement or development
Develop and implement strategies to address the specific needs of individuals and families in temporary accommodation
Ensure that staff are trained and equipped to provide appropriate support and advice to individuals and families in temporary accommodation
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. social work, housing studies)
Proven experience in managing accommodation services, preferably including temporary accommodation
Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and inspire a team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders
Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and best practices in relation to accommodation services
Ability to work well under pressure and make effective decisions in a fast-paced environment
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to overcome challenges
Flexibility to work outside of regular business hours, as required.
