Summary


An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our dynamic team within Ward 33 Surgical Assessment Unit . You will be part of a group of employees which comprises of doctors, nurses and clerical/administrative staff who provide a high standard of service to patients and relatives attending the department.

Ward 33 Surgical assessment area has numerous specialities. General Surgery and we also take patients from other specialities.

The successful applicant will need to have experience in dealing with the general public; they will have good IT skills and remain calm under pressure in this challenging role. A good telephone manner, confidence and a positive helpful manner is essential. Duties will include answering the telephone, filing, using the Care Flow and New EPR system and booking appointments.

You will be required to be flexible within the contracted hours. You will also provide cover for annual leave and sickness. Full training will be provided for all candidates.

Ward 33 is a 38 bedded ward with a mainly general surgical speciality. We also have a very busy assessment area

The ward has a reputation for delivering high quality of care with a holistic approach. We work closely with a range of multi-disciplinary teams, which include the Colorectal Nurse Specialist, IBD Nurse specialist and the nutrition team ,
