What you will be expected to do

Your main duty is to practice as a registered UK Pharmacist following the professional standards set out by the General Pharmaceutical Council. This will require ensuring the safe and accurate dispensing of medication and medical appliances aided by technology and a team of dedicated staff members. Then, as a contractor of the National Health Service for England, you are also expected to provide both national healthcare services and public health drives, and services commissioned locally by the government. Wellbeing Pharmacy group will also require you to perform privately paid pharmacy services such as travel clinics and the like where we will provide necessary training to meet UK regulations.





Duties/Responsibilities

Preparation of prescribed medicines in liquid, powder, tablet, ointment or other form following prescriptions issued by medical doctors and other health professionals

Analyzing drugs to determine their identity, purity and strength.

Highlighting a drug's potential side effects, identifying harmful interactions with other drugs, and assessing the suitability of treatments for patients with health conditions.

Working alongside the pharmacy team to ensure all pharmacy duties are carried out in accordance with the legal guidelines and the Standard of procedures (SOPs) to meet the needs of our customers/patients.

Building pharmacy capabilities of pharmacy team.

Delivering a range of professional pharmacy services.

Ensuring all key targets are met and that excellent service standards are maintained at all times.

Labelling and dispensing prescriptions (Under supervision where applicable) using the dispensary computer system and in accordance with standard operating procedures to ensure safe supply to patients in an efficient and accurate manner.

Dispensing (Under supervision where applicable) controlled drugs and making necessary entries in the CD register in accordance with standard operating procedures and complying with relevant legal controls.

Efficiently organizing workload to ensure effective dispensary operations and minimize dispensary losses.

Providing assistance in the completion and organization of pharmacy paperwork.

Dealing with Medical Professionals, Doctors Surgery, Carers, Care Home Staff, and patients guardians via telephone or email.











Required Skills:

Candidate must have strong communication skills.

Numeracy and literacy skills.

Must be able to work under pressure, be keen on self-development.

Be able to organize their own workload, be able to motivate themselves and the team to reach goals.

Must be able to pass Disclosure & Barring Service check when required.



Required License/Certification:

You must be a registered Pharmacist with the relevant pharmacy regulator (GPhC).
