Summary

Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Voluntary Academy has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and knowledgeable Site Manager to join our team. You will have previous premises management experience and will be a key player in ensuring the high standards of compliance are maintained, and that our facilities are safe and the best that they can be. You will work closely with the Head Teacher, the Trust Director and the Trust Central Team, focussing on delivering high quality and safe learning and teaching environment.
About the role
This is a permanent, full-time, role working 37 hours per week, all year round. The working week is Monday to Friday with occasional out of hours work where required. The working hours will be on a set shift rotation between the hours of 5.30am and 9.30pm and responsibilities will include:
Security of the premises and its contents
Health and Safety- working with the Head Teacher and the Trust Director of Estates ensuring that the school remains compliant at all times to legal regulations, building codes and approved codes of practice.
Maintenance of the school site buildings and undertake a range of semi-skilled maintenance and repair duties.
Management of contractors and
Liaise with the site Cleaners and support with a range of cleaning tasks.
The School Premises Manager is a varied role which will include a range of different daily and weekly tasks, as directed by the Admin office and Headteacher. You will need to be flexible and adapt to the needs of the school and this may involve a change in hours at short notice or in exceptional circumstances weekend working.

About the role
As Site manager you will:
Have previous experience in an estates and facilities management or caretaking role.
Experience in a mechanical setting with a willingness to develop your knowledge and skill sets.
Have a flexible attitude towards your role, duties and hours.
Have knowledge of Health and Safety, that is essential to this role.
Be able to communicate effectively.
