Summary


An opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 Clinical / Practitioner Psychologist to work into the Gwent Attachment Service and also providing clinical input within the Integrated CAMHS Service Community Team.

You will be joining a thriving group of Child Clinical Psychologists and Psychological Therapists who input into a variety of services and clinical settings. We meet regularly for peer CPD and professional support, and are well known for our proactive role in service development. This is an ideal opportunity for a newly or recently qualified Clinical Psychologist who is keen to gain invaluable clinical experience within an environment with a strong psychological identity, and a passion to develop child centred and psychological minded services.

We are looking to recruit to two posts: one will be a split post with time spent within GAS and I-CAMHS; the other post will be time spent within I-CAMHS. We welcome applications from candidates who are looking for part-time as well as full-time hours.

The role within theGwentAttachment Servicewill focus on meeting the needs of children and young people who are experiencing the effects of developmental trauma / attachment difficulties. This is as a result of new funding from Welsh Government. The team currently comprises of Consultant Clinical Psychologist taking the strategic and clinical lead, Specialists Clinical Psychologists, Psychologist Practitioners and support from Assistant Psychologists and Administration. The team works with teams from across Health, Education, and the Local Authority within the 5 boroughs of Gwent.

WithinIntegrated CAMHS, this post is supported by a team of Clinical Psychologists and offers a wide variety of direct and indirect clinical work and consultation. There are opportunities for service developments, specialist therapeutic work, supervision and training.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
