Senior Clinical Fellow in Respiratory and General Medicine, Chelsea Westminster Hospital London

Chelsea and Westminster NHS Foundation Trust is looking to appoint a senior clinical fellow within respiratory medicine and general medicine. This is a 1 year post at the West Middlesex site. The successful candidate will develop a wide range of skills. Whilst there will be clear clinical commitments, the posts will also encourage education, research and personal development activities. All commitments will be supervised and the fellows will work within areas of educational excellence.

Posts are intended to be full-time and for a 1-yer fixed term period but candidates who wish to work less-than-full-time are encouraged to apply and have had experience of working in the NHS at minimum CMT/IMT level.

Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust provide services from two main hospitals, Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and West Middlesex University Hospital, and a number of clinics across London and the South-East.

Below is a brief description of the roles:
1. The main part of the job involves care of patients on the Respiratory/GIM ward (Syon2), including managing complex patients with tracheostomy, COPD, NIV, ILD, asthma and TB. You will be part of a Consultant led team of junior doctors, participate in daily Board rounds and twice weekly consultant ward rounds. The 32 beds on Syon 2 are divided between 2 consultant led teams
2. There may be opportunity for interested individuals to carry out supervised Respiratory outpatient clinics.
3. Participating in and developing new pleural service with respiratory consultants, including pleural clinic in AEC, providing supervised pleural procedures for inpatients.
