About this Role
The Mount Stewart Schools Federation is seeking a dedicated Assistant Caretaker to join our vibrant team. This role is pivotal in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment across our schools, ensuring that both staff and students can thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain the security of school premises, including locking/unlocking buildings, operating alarm systems, and conducting regular security checks.
Assist in the upkeep of school premises, undertaking minor repairs, cleaning duties, and maintaining outdoor spaces.
Support the organisation and movement of furniture and manage the orderly storage of supplies.
Play a pivotal role in emergency procedures and contribute to the overall ethos and aims of the school.
We’re Looking For Someone With:

NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) and Level 1 Safeguarding awareness.
A strong understanding of health and safety regulations, including COSHH, legionella, and asbestos testing.
Competency in communication, teamwork, and customer service.
Flexibility to assist with extracurricular lettings and occasional weekend duties.
