Summary


ADAMS WARD is a general rehabilitation adult inpatient ward in Finchley Memorial Hospital, North Finchley. The Hospital is a beautiful new build surrounded by beautiful, landscaped gardens and open spaces with good access to local transport and easy parking facilities.

We have dedicated rehabilitation Multi-Disciplinary Teams consisting of Registered Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Dieticians, Speech therapist, Pharmacists, Activities Coordinators, Rehab Support Workers, Care assistants and Housekeepers. As a team, the aim is to support patients to regain function, confidence, self-respect and much more.

We are looking for a Healthcare Support Worker to be a part of the team in a challenging environment and to remain focused on enabling staff to deliver the Trusts core objectives of high quality patient care whilst supporting and developing the individuals within the team. The individual will need to be focused on the patient experience to ensure all patients will have a positive and comfortable stay in the ward. You will need to display excellent communication skills, and offer care in a kind and compassionate manner. You will be dynamic, innovative, hardworking, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. • To be responsible for providing the appropriate nursing evidence based care for an allocated group of patients.
• Be an accountable professional who is responsible for their actions, working in line with NMC standards of proficiency
• Recognise and work within the limits of their competency
• To work as part of a multidisciplinary team using resources efficiently.
• To deliver quality care to patients and to work effectively within the nursing team.
• To be competent in carrying out a variety of clinical procedures.

• Assessment and planning of delegated care
• Monitoring of long-term conditions and well-being of service users including escalation of interventions when necessary
• Assist with the implementation and monitoring of clinical care and monitor outcomes
• Administering of Medication in accordance with regulatory guidelines for Nursing Associates
• Undertake onward referrals to appropriate services and community based care support
• Assist in specific therapeutic relations to meet the physical, emotional and psychological, social, cultural and spiritual needs of individuals and carers.
• Enter data into clinical systems ( patient records) as per Trust guidance and policies
