Summary

Responsibilities:
- Perform a range of groundworking tasks including excavation, trenching, and backfilling.
- Operate heavy machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Utilize plant/vehicle marshal skills to coordinate the movement of vehicles and machinery on site.
- Assist in ensuring the safe loading, unloading, and movement of materials and equipment.
- Conduct regular safety checks on machinery and equipment, reporting any defects or issues.
- Work closely with colleagues, supervisors, and other tradespeople to ensure efficient workflow and site safety.
- Adhere to project specifications, drawings, and health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
- Valid CPCS or NPORS Plant/Vehicle Marshall ticket.
- Proven experience as a groundworker in the construction industry.
- Competency in operating relevant machinery such as excavators, dumpers, and rollers.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Physical fitness and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred qualifications:
- Additional construction-related certifications or training.
- Experience working on a variety of construction projects (e.g., residential, commercial, civil engineering).
