Summary

We are looking for Stock & Inventory Operatives to join our team at Wincanton Blackburn, where we provide logistics services. This role will be primarily based within the Stock and Inventory function therefore previous experience in this type of role would be advantageous.

Successful candidates will be required to obtain and maintain Security Clearance.

Day to Day

  • Cycle counting of stock within the warehouse to ensure accurate inventory
  • Analysing and updating inventory information on in house systems
  • Investigating and rectifying of inventory discrepancies including identification of root causes
  • Conducting inventory related audits
  • Contributing to other inventory management projects as required
  • Receiving, picking, and packing stock in a safe and efficient manner
  • Undertaking local deliveries
  • Operating in a safe manner, in accordance with training provided
  • Working alongside Team Members to achieve targets and meet customer expectations

What will you bring?

  • Good attention to detail, and an accurate way of working to ensure all documentation and data is correct
  • Understanding the need for a high level of customer service
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work as a part of a team but also show initiative when required to work independently
  • PC literate and numerate with good communication skills, including a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office as required 
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems would be an advantage, although full training will be provided
  • Ability to use IT Systems in accordance with training provided 
  • Good use of Six Sigma and Lean techniques 
  • Attention to detail required to assume quality checking/quality control 
  • Compliance with manual handling procedures 
  • Good Track record of high levels of attendance
