As the Change & Continuous Improvement Manager, you will be a professional lead in a wide range of force level transformational change and continuous improvement specialist techniques.

The post holder will improve organisational effectiveness and efficiency and be responsible for the professional development, management, and delivery of a corporate programme of efficiency and Continuous Improvement Reviews.

The successful candidate must be flexible to meet the demands of the role, which may involve working at other locations as well as out of the force area on occasions.


Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop the Change and Continuous Improvement function, identifying and developing opportunities for improvement to ensure the delivery of the Force’s Plan on a Page.
• Build effective and professional relationships, participating in joint consultation and negotiation to drive and support high performance and continuous improvement.
• Establish successful working relationships and credibility with key Senior Force and OPCC Personnel and appropriate external contacts and specialists e.g. Universities, Business Organisations such as OR Society, Design Council etc.
• The management of Police Staff along with further responsibility for the supervision of seconded project teams across a wide range of ranks / grades at a local, Force, Regional and National level.
• Will be required to make evidence-based decisions were there may be no precedent set and that deliver transformational organisational change and continuous improvement that result in significant improvements in efficiency and effectiveness within the Force / Region.

What the role requires:

• Has a Business, Management, Analytical or Systems related degree, or has significant relevant professional business change experience.
• Experience of leading, developing, managing, and delivering major transformational organisational change and continuous improvement programmes at a corporate level.
• Experience of presenting, advising, and influencing at Board level.
• Ability to deliver results through leading, motivating and directing staff within an organisational change environment.
• Proven problem solving and creative thinking skills and has displayed an ability to evidence the ability to think outside the box and come up with new and innovative solutions to problems.
