The Community Partnerships Service, which sits within Housing & Communities, has undertaken an exciting workforce review to ensure the service is better placed to support, empower, and protect individuals and communities and has a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated Community Centre Coordinator to join our Sustainable Communities Team to oversee the day to day running of our Housing Owned Community Centres.



About the role



This is an exciting new role which will involve overseeing the day-to-day operations of the 4 centres, ensuring they remain a thriving space for the communities in which the centres are located. You will work with local residents to shape and deliver activities and services that will directly benefit them. You will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of stakeholders to ensure the success of the Centres and will maximize income and funding opportunity to ensure the sustainable delivery of the community centres.



Main Duties and responsibilities



Oversee the day to day running of the 4 Housing Community Centres, in accordance with the Housing Community Centre Framework.
Develop, implement, and regularly review required policies, procedures, and hire-related documents to ensure the centres run effectively.
Grow partnerships with local hirers, including community groups, local businesses, and services to increase engagement with the centres.


Encourage local services and activities to be run from the centre that are accessible for residents.


About you



We are looking for a coordinator who is driven, has problem solving and strategic skills to work across multi-partnerships to maximize the use of our community centres. You will have proven experience in either the voluntary, community or business sector and experience of managing community buildings, including the application of relevant policies and procedures. Experience of delivering a customer focused service and working with voluntary and statutory partners to improve outcomes for communities will be key to your success in the role!
