The Step Up service is a county wide service providing housing related support to young people aged 16-25 across Derbyshire. Framework deliver the service in Erewash and Amber Valley. We provide accommodation and support to care experienced young people aged 16-21 and housing related support to young people aged 18-25 in Derbyshire who is at risk of homelessness.
We are recruiting a full-time day Duty Worker in our Long Eaton site and also full-time night duty worker in our Long Eaton site. We are looking for people who would thrive in a young person’s accommodation service, where no two days are ever the same. The role requires working to a rota and this includes evenings, weekends, and holidays for the day duty worker and the night duty workers work to a shift pattern which covers every night of the year, 4 nights on 4 nights off.
We are looking for dedicated people who are passionate about working with young people and dedicated to equipping young people for independence.
Experience of working with young people is desirable but the ability to build rapport and encourage young people to make informed, good decisions is essential, along with the ability to liaise with Social Workers and Leaving Care Workers in a demanding environment. This role means working with and learning from experienced Specialist Young Persons Workers. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wishes to develop their skills and knowledge to progress in their career.
